• Hoka Challenger ATR 7 – made for runs that start on tarmac and finish on trail: a taller midsole softens each step, yet the shoe still came out about 20 g lighter than its predecessor. The Durabrasion rubber outsole packs its 4 mm lugs tightly in the centre for a smooth roll and spaces them out at the edges for grip. A simple mesh upper breathes over long distances.
